AMRITSAR: After the culmination of the three-day Rail Roko Morcha organized by the farmers, their local units in the region have started preparations for the upcoming 'Kisani Dussehra' (farmers' Dussehra), slated to take place on October 23 and 24 to protest against the Center government and the corporate houses.
"We are committed to ensure that neither government policies nor the financial interests of the corporate entities exploit vulnerable farmers.
We are determined to sustain this movement, raising awareness about farmers' rights and holding both the government and corporate houses accountable for their actions” said office secretary of Kisan Mazdur Sangarash Committee Gurbachan Singh Chabba.
Chabba said they would ask the farmers to prepare effigies of the Modi government and the corporate houses which would be set to flames across the state. “Very soon a series of meetings will begin at every level ensuring maximum gathering of the farmers and their family members,” said Chabba.
