Azam, Barkat Ali convicted in forced eviction case
This is Azam’s sixth case in which he has been convicted in the past two years.
The 76-year-old ex-MP was produced before the magistrate through videoconferencing.

Court convicts man in rape case
Sanjay Naik sentenced to 10 years imprisonment for raping woman under false marriage pretext in North Goa court, fined Rs 25,000. Survivor provided evidence including photographs and WhatsApp messages. Presiding officer Durga V Madkaikar stated the accused had a relationship with the survivor for eight months, promised marriage but later ended it due to family objections.
