Bareilly: A special MP/MLA court of sessions judge, Vijay Kumar, in Rampur found senior Samajwadi Party leader
Azam Khan and public contractor Barkat Ali guilty for their role in the illegal demolition of a house in Dungarpur colony of Rampur city during the SP govt’s tenure in 2016 on Wednesday.
This is Azam’s sixth case in which he has been convicted in the past two years.
Notably, judgments in three cases related to the Dungarpur colony demolition had been delivered earlier, with the SP leader found guilty in one case and acquitted in two others.
The 76-year-old ex-MP was produced before the magistrate through videoconferencing.
