13yo missing girl’s body found, family alleges gang-rape

Bareilly: The body of a 13-year-old girl, who had been missing since Thursday, was recovered from a river in Kheri by police on Saturday. A rope was found tied around her neck and the condition of the body suggested she died a day ago.
Her family has alleged she was gang-raped and later killed by three locals. The accused have gone missing. SHO Padua police station Harikesh Rai told TOI, “We had already filed an abduction FIR in this case on Friday and started our investigation.The autopsy will be conducted by a panel of three doctors and only then will we be able to tell whether she was raped or not. We have asked the family to give us a fresh complaint and we will register an FIR accordingly.”
