Bathinda: A court in Fazilka has sentenced three persons to life imprisonment in connection with a murder case of 2020. The case pertains to the murder of Gurvinder Singh, a police personnel, who was shot dead by car-borne assailants in his neighbourhood.
The FIR was registered at City Police Station, Abohar. After examining all facts and witnesses, the court found Namandeep Godara, Vikramjeet, and Vijay Lakshmi guilty and sentenced them to life imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 10,000 each.

Additionally, the trio was sentenced to three years of rigorous imprisonment under Section 201 of the IPC, with a fine of Rs 10,000 each, and five years of rigorous imprisonment under Section 25 of the Arms Act, with a fine of Rs 10,000 each. The sentences will run concurrently. Another accused in the case, Naresh Kumar, was sentenced to five years of rigorous imprisonment under Section 25 of the Arms Act, with a fine of Rs 10,000. tnn
