Barak body seeks CM’s resignation
Silchar: The Barak Democratic Youth Front (BDYF) has called for the resignation of chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing him of making “unconstitutional” and “communal” statements.
BDYF chief convener Kalparnab Gupta on Saturday expressed concern over the CM’s statements, particularly in the light of rising communal tension in the state.
Gupta also accused Himanta of spreading misinformation for political gains, particularly regarding the historical presence of Muslims in Assam, reports BB Goswami.
