Curfew eased in 2 Manipur dists for essential item purchases

Guwahati: Civil authorities have announced a relaxation of curfew restrictions in Imphal West and Imphal East districts. The curfew will be lifted from 5 am to 4 pm on Saturday to allow residents to purchase essential items such as medicines and food.
The notifications issued by the two district magistrates stated, “Due to the developing law and order situation in the district, there is need to relax the restriction of movement to facilitate general public to purchase the essential items including medicines and food.” “This relaxation shall not include any gathering, sit-in protests or rally etc., without obtaining approval through competent authority,” it said.TNN
