One of them, Gayatri Bori, was allegedly slapped by a constable. She asked, “Who gave the police the right to hit peacefully protesting citizens? Even after four days, why have the police not registered an FIR? Was it a planned attack?” In a press meet on Saturday, the protesters threatened to gherao the Dispur PS if their demands were not met.
