“This attack on Dr Rajesh by a mob of around 200 people and stabbing by an individual is a grave incident that demands serious action. Doctors, like Dr Rajesh, work under immense pressure, often sacrificing their personal lives to provide care and save lives. In this case, the attack was driven by grievances, but no grievance can justify violence. The trust and relationship between doctors and the public must be based on respect and mutual understanding,” said Dr Vijay Rao Jakkula, secretary general, IMA Telangana.
