Hyderabad: A 12-year-old boy, who went missing from Chittapur village near Balkonda in Nizamabad district on Wednesday last, was found dead under suspicious conditions. Police suspect that it could be a case of murder as the boy had an injury on his head. They took a suspect into custody.
Three days ago, based on the complaint lodged by the boy’s family, a kidnap case was registered by police.
In Kheelaguda area, his body was found at an open place on Saturday. After receiving information, police rushed to the spot. After the boy’s parents confirmed the identity of the body, police started to probe as they suspect that it was a murder. As the boy had suffered an injury on his head, they suspect he was hit with a stone and killed. The boy was last seen on Wednesday at 11pm in the company of one Bandi Narender, also from the same village. He took the boy on a bike to witness Ganesh festivities.
Later, the body of the boy was shifted to a govt hospital for a post-mortem examination before they altered the sections.
