Kochi: The
IMD has issued an isolated heavy rainfall warning of 7-11 cm, very likely to occur at isolated places in
Kerala till Monday.
A yellow alert has been issued for Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod on Sunday. Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Kasaragod are on yellow alert on Monday.
Squally winds with speeds reaching 45-55 kmph, gusting to 65 kmph, are likely to prevail over the western parts of the Southwest Arabian Sea and adjoining parts of the West-central Arabian Sea.
INCOIS has issued an ocean current watch and high wave watch for Kasaragod, Kannur, Kollam, and Thiruvananthapuram.
According to the 24-hour rainfall recorded on Saturday morning, Peringome received 6cm, while Taliparamba and Hosdurg got 5cm. Kannur, Chemberi and Kannur airport received 4cm.
