E-comm site staffer held for laptop theft

Ludhiana: Khanna Police arrested the employee of a leading e-commerce company for laptop theft. The accused was identified as Rajbir Singh of Chomo. Satinder Singh of Bholapur village in Jamalpur said that Rajbir Singh was on duty as supervisor in the company branch at Manji Sahib from August 22, 2022. His job was to check the goods received by the company and forward them.However, complaints about missing laptops were being made for a long time. The complainant said that they investigated on their own and came to know that on August 24, at 6.30pm, a laptop was received from the company. He added that the accused changed the slip on the laptop and put his own address slip and he received the same by manipulation. The complainant alleged that CCTV camera footage showed the accused changing the slip. Police said the accused was arrested. tnn
