Ludhiana: A local court sentenced a man and his son to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment each for possession of 330 grams of
heroin.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on the convicts. In case of a default on the payment of the fine, they will have to undergo rigorous imprisonment for two more years each.
On April 14, 2020, STF Phase Four, Mohali, booked Nachhattar Singh, 48, and his son
Sonu Singh, 25, of Barnala, under relevant sections of the NDPS Act.
On the date, the police received a tip-off. Nachhattar Singh and his son were coming from Barnala towards Raikot side in a car with heroin.
The police intercepted the vehicle and recovered 330 grams of heroin from a black polybag on the dashboard of the car. TNN
