Nashik: A 32-year-old biker was killed and three other people escaped with minor injuries in an
accident on Friday night on the Mumbai-Agra highway near the truck terminal in Adgaon.
The deceased, identified as Deepak Gangurde, was from Chandwad taluka.
The couple in the car was from Deola taluka and were proceeding from Dwarka towards the Ozar side when the accident took place, said PSI Mayur Nikam of the Adgaon police station, who is investigating the case
The Adgaon police received a call through the dial 112 system, after which a police constable rushed to the incident spot and found that the driver of a car had hit a biker, causing the latter’s death, and had rammed the car into a truck from behind.
The car driver and a couple travelling in the car escaped with moderate injuries. The car driver is yet to be arrested, said police.
