Nashik: The District Consumer Grievances Redressal Commission, Nashik, in an order, said the developer should either accept the amount of Rs10 lakh and give the flat, as per the agreement of sale, or return the entire booking amount of Rs8 lakh to the complainant with a 12% rate of interest since Jan 2018, when the last booking amount was received by the developer.
Mangal Hiray had registered a complaint with the commission in Dec 2021, alleging that she had paid Rs8 lakh to the developer for the sale of a flat in 2016 in the building that he was redeveloping then.

The bench ordered that the developer should either accept the entire sum or return the money with a 12% interest and Rs 20,000 as cost for physical, mental harassment and Rs10,000 cost incurred.
