9 officials found in old jobs a year after their transfer, govt suspends them now
Noida: UP govt has suspended nine officials across various posts in the Noida, Greater Noida and Yamuna Expressway authorities after it found they had failed to comply with transfer orders issued over a year back and stayed on in their old posts. Departmental action has also been initiated against three more Noida Authority personnel for similar violations.

Over the years, several officials have been found deliberately avoiding transfers from Noida and Greater Noida and colluding with their seniors to prolong their stay.
A senior Noida Authority official, however, claimed some of the officials facing suspension were not relieved of their duties in the absence of proper replacements.
Of the six officials suspended in Noida Authority, two are assistant legal officers Sushil Bhati and Nardev.
A govt order, issued on June 30 last year, transferred Bhati to Greater Noida and Nardev to YEIDA.
The others are private secretary Vijendra Pal Singh Komar, manager (architect/planning) Sumit Grover, assistant manager (architect/planning) US Farooq and accountant Pramod Kumar.
Komar was instructed to join the Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA). Farooq and Pramod Kumar were transferred to UPSIDA, while Grover was to move to YEIDA.

"In Noida, these officials were overseeing various tasks related to civil engineering, architecture, accounting, planning, and other domains. We required substitutes for these officials and under these circumstances, they were not released," a senior Noida Authority official, who did not wish to be named, said.
Some of these suspended officials were overseeing ongoing projects like the skywalk project connecting sectors 51 and 52 metro stations, Noida Authority's office in Sector 96, golf course in Sector 151-A, the redevelopment of parks in different sectors, Bhangel Elevated Road and Ganga Jal project among others.
The suspension order was issued by UP industrial development department on the directions of minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi.
The three other officials who were suspended are Greater Noida Authority's manager (civil) Vijay Kumar Bajpai and assistant manager (civil) Surendra Kumar, and YEIDA's manager Ajab Singh Bhati. Surendra was ordered to move to Noida, while Bajpai was transferred to GIDA. Bhati was to join UPSIDA, as per the 2023 order.
The govt has also ordered departmental action against Vijay Kumar Rawal, then senior manager (civil), Noida, who is currently working as DGM (civil); Satinder Giri, then manager (civil) and now senior manager; and Prem Kumar, assistant manager (architect).
Rawal and Giri had ignored the transfer orders issued on June 30, 2022, while Kumar was transferred via a govt order issued in 2023. All three are facing disciplinary action.
During a recent meeting, Nandi issued a stern warning to officials and employees who have stayed on their old posts despite being transferred. The minister said the govt repeatedly sent letters to the 12 officers, urging compliance with transfer orders, but these were ignored. Flouting transfer orders disrupts the overall pace of work within the industrial development authorities and the govt will take action against officials who fail to comply, Nandi said.
