PUDUCHERRY: TranSwaras, a crossover band led by Carnatic singer P V Bose of Puducherry, won the 2024 inter-continental music award under the Carnatic music genre in the Best of Asia category for its tribute to the composition ‘Ganesha Kumara Pahimam’ by Muthuswamy Dikshitar, one among the trinity of Carnatic music.
The song is an ode to the Elephant God Ganesha.
