Pact for electoral literacy clubs in Meghalaya schools

SHILLONG: The office of the chief electoral officer (Meghalaya) signed an MoU with the state education department here on Wednesday with the aim of establishing ‘electoral literacy clubs’ in schools across the state.
The director of the state education department, Swapnil Tembe, said, “Our commitment to fostering well-rounded citizens led us to initiate this collaboration.

By incorporating democracy into the syllabus and establishing electoral clubs, we aim to cultivate a deeper understanding of the democratic process among students”.
