Thane: Three burglars have been apprehended by the Thane crime branch, and gold and 12 mobile phones, collectively worth Rs 2 lakh, have been recovered from their possession.
The accused are identified as Moin Shaikh, 29, a resident of Mumbra, his accomplice Sahin Qureshi, 24, also a resident of Mumbra, and Mustakin alias Golden Khan.
The police stated that an officer from the crime branch unit-1 received a tip-off that Shaikh was heading to a specific location last week and that he is implicated in a series of thefts.
Consequently, he was detained, and during the interrogation, he disclosed that he was involved in burglary and had also stolen mobile phones and gold jewellery.
The duo named Khan, and subsequently, the police collectively recovered the 12 stolen mobile phones and a few grams of gold jewellery from the trio, which is worth just over Rs 2 lakh.
The police mentioned that they are further interrogating the trio regarding their involvement in other crimes.tnn
