Anvar calls on Govindan, casts doubt over probe team’s competency
Thiruvananthapuram: LDF independent MLA P V Anvar has expressed doubts over the competency of the probe team appointed by govt to inquire into the grave allegations that he had raised against ADGP Ajith Kumar and chief minister's political secretary P Sasi.
Anvar, who called on CPM state secretary M V Govindan on Wednesday, told reporters that he was not impatient like the media and expressed hope that there would be a free and fair investigation into the allegations he raised.

However, he expressed doubts over the competency of the probe team, which chief minister's office constituted to look into allegations against the ADGP. "I don't think that complaints against a headmaster of a school can be entrusted to his subordinates, including a peon. I have just handed over my complaint to the CM. I am sure that justice will be delivered," he said.
Anvar said he was echoing the voice of lakhs of party workers and would continue to keep a tab on the developments regarding his complaints. He reiterated the allegation that an anti-govt lobby was working in the state police.
He refused to divulge details of his discussions with Govindan. However, CPM state secretariat is expected to discuss Anvar's complaints. Sasi may also meet Govindan to explain his version.
The Nilambur MLA said CM was not guilty in the case but those whom CM handpicked had cheated him. Anvar said nobody can gloss over the issues he raised against the corrupt. He, however, said he has not received any assurance, either from CM or party secretary, over his complaints.

"A revolution has just begun. It is against the lobby at work against govt. The evidence I have given is indicative in nature. More evidence would be submitted during investigation. There are good officers in Kerala police, who should be investigating the case. Or else, I would be branded a thief," he said.
Meanwhile, Sasi refused to make any public comment on the allegations against him. "The position I now hold doesn't permit me to make public comments," he said.
