Thiruvananthapuram: The Controller of Defence Accounts (CDA) will host a SPARSH outreach programme on Sept 6 at Cariappa Auditorium, Colachal Stadium, and Pangode Military Station. This event is designed to assist defence pensioners, civilian pensioners, and family pensioners whose pensions have been transitioned to the new SPARSH module.
Governor Arif Mohammed Khan will serve as the chief guest, and the event will feature the presentation of cheques totaling Rs 1 crore to selected defence pensioners whose grievances have been resolved by CDA, Chennai.
Approximately 1,500 defence pensioners, family pensioners, and civilian pensioners from Thiruvananthapuram and surrounding districts are expected to attend. The programme will include stalls for addressing SPARSH-related queries, Aadhaar discrepancies, and other pension-related issues.
The ministry of defence's Controller of Defence Accounts has introduced SPARSH (System for Pension Administration – Raksha), a comprehensive pension package offering a 'one-stop solution' for all defence and civilian pensioners. To help pensioners become acquainted with SPARSH, the CDA is organizing outreach programmes at various locations across Kerala.
