Power cut announced for parts of Trichy, suburbs

TRICHY: Power supply will be suspended in several parts of Trichy city and its suburbs on Tuesday (August 13) due to monthly maintenance work at Kambarasampettai and Main Guard Gate substations here.
Areas including Karur Bypass, VN Nagar, Chathiram bus stand, St Joseph’s College, Poosari Street, Chinthamani Bazaar, Odathurai, Anna statue, Nandhikoil Street, Andar streets, Salai Road, Maris Theatre, Fort Station Road, Singarathope, Vathukkara Street, Woraiyur, Housing Unit, Keerakollai Street, Kura Street, Nawab Thottam, Thiruthanthoni Road, Takkar Road, PVS Koil, Linga Nagar, Minnappan Street, Akilandeswari Nagar, Mangal Nagar, Santhosh Garden, Cholarajapuram, Kandan Street, Maruthandakurichi, Kambarasampettai, Malliyampathu, Allur, Jeeyapuram, Mutharasanallur, Thiruchendurai, Ponmalai Drinking Water Headworks, Sanjeevi Nagar, Devathanam, Sankara Pillai Road, Sarkarpalayam, Ariyamangalam, Panayakurichi, Vengur and Thogur will face power shutdown between 9.45am and 4pm on Tuesday.
Similarly, as the Trichy Corporation has planned to initiate road widening work near Gandhi Market on Tuesday, Tangedco would relocate electricity poles in the locality. As a result, areas like Thayyalkara Street, Banana Auction Centre, Fish Market, Manimandapa Road, Gopal Krishan Pillai Street and Saurashtra Street will face power shut down between 9.45am and 4pm on Tuesday.
