‘Declare vacant seats on portal’
Vadodara: The National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Monday demanded that M S University’s Faculty of Commerce should declare the number of seats available for students at the faculty for admission in the first year of Bachelor of Commerce (B Com).
NSUI leaders said that in the wake of the results of supplementary exams of class 12 being declared by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, MSU should put the availability of seats on the portal of the Gujarat Common Admission Services (GCAS) operated by the state education department.

Leaders associated with NSUI approached the main building of the Faculty of Commerce to submit the memorandum with their demands. But as the faculty dean’s chamber was locked, they posted the memorandum on the door.
The student leaders alleged that they had already sought time from the dean to make the representation.
“But the dean, instead of clarifying the faculty’s stand on this pertinent issue, preferred to lock his chamber and was not available to answer our queries,” said an NSUI leader.
