Vadodara: Electric vehicles go up in flames

VADODARA: A fire broke out in the electric two-wheelers parked next to a commercial complex in Fatehgunj late Monday night. Twenty-six scooters went up in flames within an hour. Fire brigade officials said that they were trying to ascertain the reason behind the fire.
"The vehicles gutted were used by delivery personnel and were parked outside a pizza outlet next to Saffron Complex," said a fire officer.

When asked about the cause of the fire, the officials said that they still haven't got any clue.
"We are still investigating. The fire may have been caused by a spark in the battery of some vehicle or due to other reasons too," the officials added. No one was injured in the incident.
