Three Andhra cricketers in Duleep Trophy
The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) has expressed delight over selection of three Andhra players - KS Bharat and Ricky Bhui for Team D and K Nitish Kumar Reddy for Team B - in the Duleep Trophy tournament to be played at Anantapur and Bengaluru next month. The Anantapur District Cricket Association is all geared up to host host the tournament starting on September. One of the first-round league matches will be played in Bengaluru and Rural Development Trust (RDT) grounds in Anantapur. The ADCA along with the RDT started sprucing up the two grounds.

The Duleep Trophy, once a premier domestic event, has seen a decline in prominence. This season, however, aims to feature top Indian cricketers like Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant. The tournament, beginning on September 5, has relocated one opening match from Anantapur to Bengaluru for logistical reasons, hoping to attract the participation of prominent players.
