Apple recently launched the iPhone 16 series and now the tech giant will focus on its next big event. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to launch new Macs at an event which is likely to be held in the coming weeks.
According to Gurman, Apple will launch Macs with AI-focused M4 chips and Apple Intelligence. He also said that new lower-end iPads may also be unveiled at the event.

Here are the devices that may be launched next:

Apple is aiming to boost sluggish computer sales by overhauling its entire Mac line with a new family of in-house processors.
  • J604, which may be a low-end 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M4 chip.
  • J614 and J616: new high-end 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros, each with two pro-level M4 chip options.
  • J623: a new iMac with the M4 chip.
  • J773: the revamped, smaller Mac mini in M4 and M4 Pro chip variations.

“I’m told that most of these Macs are already shipping from factories (save for some of the higher-end MacBook Pros and the Mac mini with the M4 Pro) and are ready for launch right now,” Gurman added.
Gurman previously claimed that M4 MacBook Airs (J713 and J715) are scheduled for the first quarter of 2025 and a new Mac Studio (J575) is coming around the middle of next year. A Mac Pro (J704) is expected to launch before the end of 2025.
Citing people with knowledge of the matter, Gurman had also claimed that the new chip will come in at least three main varieties “and Apple is looking to update every Mac model with it”.
Notably, Apple has already launched the M4 chips in iPad Pro earlier this year. According to Apple, the M4 chip is up to 1.5x faster than M2 in terms of CPU performance and 4x faster in terms of pro rendering performance.
