Prayagraj: With an eye on the assembly bypolls and 2027 state assembly polls, the Prayagraj unit of
Congress leadership on Monday held its organisational meet and called upon party functionaries to work hard to strengthen the grand old party at the panchayat and booth level.
“The 2027 assembly polls are not so far, and we have limited time to complete our preparations.
There is an urgent need for all party leaders and workers to make attempts to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level with strong morale and dedication,” said secretary of the Congress Committee and in-charge of the eastern zone of Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee Rajesh Tiwari said. Tiwari added: “Out of the 10 assembly seats which will go to bypolls in UP, Congress is a strong contender on five of them, including the Phulpur assembly seat of Prayagraj district.” He claimed that the Phulpur assembly seat is a top priority of the Congress party. tnn
