Early Tuesday, a cement-laden truck crashed into an RTC bus near the Medarapalli checkpost in Annamayya district, injuring about 30 passengers en route from Vellore to Hyderabad. The injured were transported to government hospitals in Rayachoti and Kadapa. Ramapuram police have registered a case and are conducting further investigations.

TIRUPATI: About 30 passengers heading to Hyderabad from Vellore in Tamil Nadu were injured, when a truck with cement load, rammed into an RTC bus in Annamayya district in the early hours on Tuesday.
According to Ramapuram police, the accident occured near the Medarapalli checkpost early on Tuesday.
The truck with cement load was heading towards Rayachoti from Kadapa.

The truck driver lost control of the vehicle and rammed it into the RTC bus coming in the opposite direction.
The 30 odd passengers who were injured in the mishap were shifted and admitted to the govt hospitals at Rayachoti and Kadapa. Ramapuram police registered a case and are further investigating.
