TIRUPATI: With just three days left for the polling day,
Telugu Desam party candidate for the Chittoor parliament Daggumalla Prasad Rao, intensified campaign at the Kuppam and Chandragiri assembly constituencies on Friday.
The former IRS officer is engaged in a keen contest with sitting YSRCP MP N Reddeppa at the prestigious Chittoor parliament (SC), constituency which covers the assembly constituencies of Chittoor, Kuppam, Palamaner, Puthalapattu (SC), GD Nellore (SC), Nagari and Chandragiri.
Kuppam, which is one of the assembly constituencies from where former chief minister and
TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu is contesting for the 8th consecutive time on a trot after securing 7 straight electoral wins from Kuppam.
After taking part in a series of election meetings and door to door campaigns accompanied by TDP MLC Kancherla Srikanth at Kuppam on Friday, Daggumalla Prasad Rao exuded confidence that Chandrababu Naidu will get a thumping majority of one lakh votes at Kuppam, as the voters here have already decided to once again see Naidu as the next Chief minister of the state.
Meanwhile, the TDP Chittoor parliament candidate also took part in a massive public meeting held at Tiruchanoor in Chandragiri assembly constituency along with assembly candidate Pulivarthi Nani later in the night.
During his address at the public meeting, Daggumalla Prasad Rao drew the people's attention to the numerous land encroachment acts of the incumbent MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy in the last five years.
"While Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy rose from being a nobody to a multi-millionaire by misusing his political positions, the people of this constituency haven't benefitted at all and are languishing from various opportunities for development", Daggumalla Prasad Rao pointed out to the people.
