TIRUPATI:
TDP's Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy has vowed to transform the Nellore parliamentary constituency into an industrial hub once the NDA alliance comes to power in the state and at the center.
Addressing roadshows along with the party's candidate for the Kandukur assembly constituency, Inturi Nageswara Rao, at Veerepalli, Ulavapadu, and Kallurupadu villages in Ulavapadu mandal on Monday, Vemireddy recalled that development took a complete backseat in Nellore ever since the YSRCP came to power in the state.
"Not a single industry came to Nellore in the last five years, and unemployment has become a major issue now. The rural infrastructure in villages was also completely sidelined by the YSRCP," Vemireddy lamented.
Stating that not just the district but the entire state needs a turnaround, Vemireddy underlined that only a visionary leader like Nara Chandrababu Naidu can bring the state back onto the path of development once again. "TDP will create 20 lakh jobs in the next five years. Until the youngsters are employed, a financial assistance of Rs 5000 per month will be extended to them," he added.
"Only the TDP-led NDA alliance can strike a perfect balance between welfare dole-out and development. The TDP has promised to provide financial assistance of Rs 20000 every year to the farmers. Similarly, for every school-going child, the TDP will extend financial assistance of Rs 15000 without a cap on the number of children per family under the 'Thalli Bidda' scheme. Women between the age group of 18-59 will be provided Rs 1500 per month under the 'Aadabidda Nidhi' scheme," the TDP candidate pointed out.
Speaking on the local issues, Vemireddy assured that a pulp industry will be established in the Kandukur assembly constituency immediately after the NDA forms the government in the state to address the unemployment issue.
