Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Most beneficiaries of the state govt’s Mukhyamantri Ladki Bahin scheme have received the first two instalments of the scheme, worth Rs 3000, in their bank accounts. However, some women in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar claim that they have been deprived of the scheme’s benefits despite enrolling.
Mangal Sathe, a beneficiary from the N-11 sector, said she had enrolled for the scheme on Aug 13.
“I had also received a confirmation message. I was hoping to get the money before Raksha Bandhan. It was disappointing as many other women received the money, but I did not,” said the 36-year-old.
Swati Pawar had a similar experience. She said the local officials were unable to ascertain the exact reason why she did not receive the money. “They gave a vague response. They said there was a problem with my bank account. I will be going to the bank to understand what exactly is wrong,” she said.
As many as over 24.4 lakh beneficiaries had been registered across eight districts of Marathwada by the second week of Aug.
