Malpe police have taken action against Prakash, owner of Kumar Sound System, for using an unauthorised DJ sound system during a Ganeshotsava procession on Sept 13 at 11 pm in Kadekaru village. The loud noise caused public inconvenience, leading to charges under Section 292 of the BNS and 109 KP Act for violating Supreme Court orders.

2 shack owners booked for Talpona tree felling
The forest department has charged two shack operators for unlawfully cutting down two casuarina trees on Talpona beach. These trees, planted 40 years ago to prevent sand erosion, were felled after their branches caused damage to the shacks. Despite applying for permission, the operators claim they received no response before taking action.
