Mohali: The government has empanelled private scan centres to offer scans at government-stipulated rates, said civil surgeon Dr Renu Singh. Patients can undergo scans at private scan centres by depositing the government-mandated fee at the hospital.
TOI had highlighted the predicament of patients compelled to obtain scans from external facilities due to the absence of such services at the hospital.
The civil surgeon said upon referral by the physician concerned, patients can remit the government fee at the hospital and access complimentary scan services at the empanelled scan centres.
Dr Singh appealed to the public, emphasizing that any requisite scan can be performed at the government fee, contingent upon the recommendation of the hospital doctor.
Addressing the staff shortage at the hospital, she mentioned that a written communiqué has been dispatched to the senior officials of the health and family welfare department to ensure that the populace does not encounter any inconvenience.
Furthermore, the SMO has been directed regarding the drinking water and sanitation arrangements within the hospital premises.
