YouTuber, doc, booked for vulgar remarks
Chennai: The cybercrime wing of Chennai police has registered a case against Dr Kantharaj and YouTube anchor Mukthar for making demeaning and vulgar remarks about female actors in the Tamil film industry during an interview on Mukthar's channel, MyIndia 24X7.
Actor Rohini Molleti, head of gender sensitisation and internal complaints committee of the South Indian Artists' Association (Nadigar Sangam), lodged the complaint against Dr Kantharaj citing his derogatory remarks about actresses.

She urged authorities to take legal action against both Kantharaj and Mukthar, stressing the need to remove the offensive video from YouTube.
The two were booked under sections 296 (obscenity), 79 (insulting women's modesty), 352 (insulting someone), 75 (1) (iv) (sexually coloured remarks) of the BNS, and section 67 of the Information Technology Act. tnn
