In the notification, registrar (administration) Anil Kumar Paschimakabat said, “The court sitting shall be from 7.30 am to 12.30 pm. The morning courts will function till the last working day of summer vacation on May 21.”
Sources said while temperature in Koraput is fairly less, Chhatrapur, Berhampur and Puri are close to the sea coast. So, the subordinate courts in these places are customarily not included in this system.
The custom of having morning courts dates back to the British era. This custom has continued without interruption.TNN
