ERODE: A violent clash broke out between the cadres of NTK and DMK in Erode East on Wednesday evening. Police said they are yet to ascertain who attacked first.
NTK chief coordinator Seeman alleged, "NTK cadres were peacefully canvassing votes when DMK men objected to their campaigning. They started hurling stones on our cadres." At least 15 people suffered injuries in the clash.
On February 17 too, cadres of NTK and DMK clashed at Rajaji Nagar.
A reporter and cameraman of a Tamil satellite television news channel were roughed up by AIADMK men when they went to a house based on information that cash was being distributed to voters from there.
