Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar announced a bonanza for women during the state-level Teej programme in Panipat on Saturday, where over 50,000 women from across the state participated. The CM also honoured 101 women for their work in various fields.
Khattar declared to enhance the minimum financial assistance being given under the Mukhya Mantri Vivah Shagun Yojana and other schemes from Rs 31,000 to Rs 41,000.
He said the government will also set up 50 to 100 pota (portable) cabins in all districts as a common market and the women associated with self-help groups can book these cabins on a daily basis to sell their products. The CM said, "Your brother Sudama (Khattar) has brought Kothali (shagun) for you."
