GURGAON: The education department has prepared a plan for online transfers of junior basic training (JBT) teachers to schools of their choices and the uploaded data on the portal is also being reviewed.
The transfer drive has been long pending and the data of inter-district transfer of JBT teachers of the year 2004, 2008, 2011 and 2017 batch is being corrected at present and updated by the directorate of elementary education.

Currently, there are about 32,000 JBT teachers in the state. Education minister Kanwarpal Gurjar said that the department has the new transfer policy ready after a series of amendments. “The JBT transfer drive is being done under the new policy. Teachers who wanted inter-district transfer and change of cadre were asked to fill 21 districts of their choice, including Mewat, on the information management system (IMS) portal.”
