Indore: A 40-year-old tailor died by suicide after allegedly not being able to pay his debts in Aerodrome area on Wednesday. No suicide note was found.
Aerodrome police said that Ajay Namdev, a resident of Rukmani Nagar, was found unconscious by his family members. They rushed him to the hospital, where he died. According to his wife, Janhvi, Ajay was troubled by financial difficulties.
The couple was struggling with debts, including unpaid instalments of a sewing machine and rent for the past three months, and Ajay had expressed concerns about their financial situation.
Police said that death was recorded and the body was handed over to the kin after autopsy.
In another incident, Rahul Vishwakarma, 27, from Tejaji Nagar, committed suicide at his home late at night. The reason behind the suicide is unclear and police are waiting for statements from his family.
In a third incident in Heera Nagar police station area, Harishankar Sahu, an auto driver in Siyaganj, ended his life. According to his kin, he was struggling with distress for the past one year after his wife Reena’s death. Probe is underway.
Simran, 30, resident of Sudama Nagar, committed suicide. She was undergoing treatment for illness and depression. TNN
