Reward announced for info on nazul land case accused
Kanpur: Police have announced a reward of Rs 25,000 each for information leading to the arrest of the nine wanted accused in connection with the recent attempt to grab Nazul land, worth crores of rupees, situated in Civil Lines area.
According to deputy commissioner of police (DCP) (East) Shravan Kumar Singh, legal action has been initiated against the nine accused named in case crime numbers 156 and 157.

The accused include Ali Abbas, a resident of Nawab Saheb's Hata Patkapur, under Pheelkhana police station, Vicente Vikram, alias Vicky Charles, of Bakarmandi falling under Bajaria police station, Sandeep Shukla, a resident of Parampurwa, under Juhi police station, Arpan Ariel, Nauris Ariel, Kamla Ariel, and Abhishek Ariel alias Sonu, all residing in the Methodist Church compound, Doodh Wala Bungalow, under Kotwali police station, Harendra Maseeh, a resident of Jhokanbagh Hospital, Nawabad District, Jhansi; and Jitesh Jha, resident of Civil Lines, under Kotwali police station.
The DCP said the accused, in collusion with Avnish Dixit, the former president of the Press Club, had allegedly attempted to forcibly occupy the Nazul land on July 28, after holding the security guard hostage. During the course of this incident, the suspects had reportedly absconded with the CDR. Avnish is currently lodged in jail.
