Kanpur: On the occasion of Independence Day, district magistrate, Kanpur Nagar, Rakesh Kumar Singh, on Friday personally visited the residences of women soldiers and the families of those who had made the supreme sacrifice in various conflicts and military operations.
The additional district magistrates, additional city magistrates, and sub divisional magistrates actively participated in this initiative and paid homage to the freedom fighters residing within their respective jurisdictions.

They bestowed honour upon these people by draping them in shawls and presenting them sweets as a token of their profound gratitude and admiration.
