DHFC beat Suruchi Sangha 2-0 in Super 6
Kolkata: Diamond Harbour FC (DHFC) began their CFL Super Six campaign with a 2-0 win over Suruchi Sangha at Naihati on Saturday.
William Lalgoulien (20) and Rahul Paswan (23) scored in quick succession as Kibu Vicuna’s side made a perfect start to the championship round.
Diamond Harbour had also beaten Suruchi Sangha 1-0 in the league stage. On Saturday, they took the lead owing to a howler from Suruchi’s goalkeeper Subham Roy, who made a mess of a simple backpass and sent the ball straight at Paswan’s feet.

Paswan quickly laid it off for William to bury it into an open net.
Three minutes later, they came calling again and Paswan met Muhammed Sanooth cross with a powerful header to seal the deal.
In the battle for relegation, both matches — Eastern Railway vs Kalighat MS and Wari AC vs Police AC — were cancelled due to inclement weather.
