Pathak lauds role of anaesthesia specialists during Covid
Lucknow: Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak on Saturday lauded the efforts of anaesthesia specialists in saving lives and said they play a crucial role during surgeries and treatment but always remain behind the scenes.
"At present, their responsibility has increased. They have worked hard and saved the lives of patients during Covid," he said while addressing the fifth international conference of Indian College of Anesthesiologists (ICA) on behalf of the KGMU Anesthesia Department.

Around 300 participants attended the ceremony held at a private hotel.
Pathak said the number of patients in govt medical institutions is increasing rapidly.
"The major reason for this is the modern facilities available to patients in govt hospitals. Facilities like robotic surgery, kidney transplant, and liver transplant are being done in medical institutions in the state. The state govt is constantly trying to upgrade hospitals. There will be no shortage of budget for this," he said.
State minister for medical education Mayankeshwar Sharan Singh said doctors from India and abroad have come to attend the workshop of anaesthesia experts where they exchanged development in latest technologies. They also enjoyed the flavours of Lucknow.
Vice chancellor Dr Soniya Nityananda, Dr Tanmay Tiwari, Dr Manish Kumar Singh, and others participated in the event.
