Direct flight to Kuala Lumpur from city begins

Lucknow: With a water cannon salute, the first direct flight from Lucknow to Kuala Lumpur began on Friday night. The flight, operated by AirAsia Malaysia, an affiliate of the AirAsia Aviation Group, took off with 165 passengers.

Kuala Lumpur is now the 10th international destination to have direct connectivity with Lucknow.The flight will operate on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The Airbus A320 aircraft, with a seating capacity of 180, will take off from Lucknow at 10pm and reach Kuala Lumpur at 2:55am (IST). The return flight will take off from Kuala Lumpur at 4:40pm (IST) and land in Lucknow at 9.25pm. AirAsia Malaysia became the second AirAsia Aviation Group airline to start operations from Lucknow. In December 2022, Thai AirAsia had inaugurated a flight between Lucknow and Don Mueang International Airport in Bangkok.TNN
