Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam Limited (UPPSKNL) in collaboration with the Central Command organised a seminar to discuss crucial employment-related information and benefits to ex-servicemen and their dependents.
The seminar held at Surya auditorium aimed at empowering the ex-servicemen regarding various welfare initiatives and employment prospects offered by UPPSKNL, facilitating their seamless transition into civilian life.
Maj Gen Sharad Bikram Singh (retd), managing director of UPPSKNL, reaffirmed the agency's dedication to augmenting welfare services for ex-servicemen.
Senior military officers like Lt Gen Mukesh Chadha, SM, VSM, Chief of Staff, HQ Central Command and Maj Gen Salil Seth, GOC Madhya UP Sub Area, underscored the importance of ensuring comprehensive support to soldiers post-retirement.
They discussed various employment schemes and benefits proffered by UPPSKNL, along with the dissemination of informational booklets. Veterans were also apprised of opportunities within sectors commensurate with their skill sets.
Attendees conveyed their appreciation. The seminar concluded with a pledge to strive for the betterment of the lives of ex-servicemen.
