Ranchi: JMM on Thursday echoed chief minister (CM) Hemant Soren’s statement by claiming that several health experts have expressed suspicion that the long-term affects of Covid-19 on a person’s health might have played a part in the deaths of 12 excise constable aspirants in the state over the past few days.
Addressing the beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Maiyaa Samman Yojana at Namkum on Wednesday, Soren had alleged that people were dying due to Covid-19 vaccines.
“The deaths are not occuring only while running but also while walking. The vaccinations given to people during Covid-19 were defective and have had a global impact,” he stated.
“We have discussed the matter with health experts at pan-India level. They suspect that complaints of breathlessness while running could be a result of post-Covid complications. AstraZeneca, which along with Serum Institute of India, rolled out Covishield accepted that the vaccine could cause heart ailments,” JMM general secretary-cum-spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya said. When pointed out that none died in the army recruitment rallies and other trials held in other states, he claimed that BJP was using the deaths, which were mere accidents, to create a political issue.
“BJP is labelling allegations against the govt without facts. We have been saying that the recruitment regulations are faulty and will be examined,” he added.
