BSF authorities in Ferozepur reported recovering a 500-gram heroin packet, likely dropped by a drone, from a field near Machhiwara village. Acting on intelligence, troops conducted a thorough search and found the narcotics wrapped in adhesive tape with an improvised hook. Investigations into the smuggling attempt are ongoing.

BSF neutralizes China-made drone carrying Heroin at Ferozepur border
The Border Security Force (BSF) intercepted a drug smuggling attempt by shooting down a drone in Ferozepur late Tuesday night. BSF personnel neutralized the drone and recovered 538 grams of heroin packed in a plastic bottle. The drone, identified as China-made DJI Mavic 3 Classic, was found near Pacharian village.
