SHIMLA: Former Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur on Tuesday accused Congress of resorting to false guarantees to cheat people of Haryana as well as Jammu and Kashmir in the run up to the upcoming elections, claiming that it has failed to fulfil its guarantees in Himachal Pradesh.
The leader of the opposition in the state said the Congeess was now trying to adopt the same tactics in rest of the states.

He said Congress’s lies had been exposed and no one is now going to believe the party’s guarantees.
“What has happened in Himachal Pradesh is a lesson for the entire country. The Congress also takes away facilities provided by the previous govt,” he said.
