Himachal Pradesh ASSEMBLY Elections 2022
Election for the 68-member Himachal Pradesh assembly will be held in a single phase on November 12, 2022. Counting of votes will be done on December 8. The Election Commission announced the schedule for the polls on October 14. Nearly 56 lakh voters will decide the fates of 412 candidates in the hill state. Over 7,880 polling stations have been set up, including several in extremely remote regions. Over 7,200 of these are in rural areas, and only 646 in cities and towns. The contest is expected to be primarily between the incumbent BJP and the Congress.
