1 held as thane jeweller confronts armed robbers with wooden log

THANE: A jeweller from Thane's Balkum area thwarted an armed robbery attempt when four armed men barged into his shop.
The incident occurred when the assailants entered the shop, intending to carry out the heist.
However, the quick-thinking jeweller refused to be intimidated.
Grabbing a wooden log, he bravely confronted the robbers and managed to drive them away.During the confrontation, one of the robbers fired a shot into the air outside, likely in an attempt to scare the jeweller or on lookers.
Despite the gunfire, the jeweller’s courage forced the robbers to flee the scene.
One of them was caught and later handed over to police, three of them fled.
