Leopard enters girls’ hostel, tranquilised
Udaipur: A leopard entered a girls’ hostel in the busy Hiran Magri area of Udaipur on Friday. The 8-10 girls present in the hostel quickly locked themselves in their rooms to safeguard against the wild intruder.
The leopard also attempted to attack the hostel cook, who promptly raised an alarm. The Hiran Magri police and a team from the forest department rushed to the scene and used firecrackers to know about the animal’s whereabouts.

The forest team tranquilised the leopard after almost five hours.
Around 50 girls reside in the hostel. Fortunately, most of them were at college at the time. Forest officer (DFO) Ajay Chittora said that the leopard has been shifted to Sajjangarh Biological Park. TNN
